SURVEY - Waiting, well-being and breast reconstruction

We are committed to understanding and raising awareness of the issues that surround a woman when she is faced with having a mastectomy. During the last few years we have learned, through our incredible community of women, that there can be an enormous emotional burden during the period of, not only a diagnosis and treatment for breast cancer, but also through the recovery years.
Not to diminish the incredible impact that breast cancer and subsequent treatment has on a woman, our focus is on the well-being of a woman as she makes decisions about how to manage her post mastectomy body or a body that is scarred and disfigured from surgery.
To enable us to plan the advocacy work of Reclaim Your Curves we need to draw on the individual experiences in our community to help shine a light on the difficulties and the inequities we might face as well as the resilience we display in achieving our goal to reclaim our curves.
Through consultation we have developed this survey to assist us to capture the story of women across Australia. Summary results of this survey may be presented or published as part of our work to advocate for women. No individual will be identified in any presentation or publication of these results.
